Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

She's pooping brussel sprouts I tell you...

So there's nothing much to this except a couple things. First, Isabella loves brussel sprouts. Loves them I tell you. She's ate tons of them the last few days and chows them down like candy. I'm so happy that she likes them because I love lots of vegetables and Doug basically hates most of them so I'm glad to have another human in my house that I can make and serve vegetables too. Second, while Isabella took her bath tonight, that one where the pictures down below show her butt hanging out, she so nicely pooped for me. She was sitting there playing and all of a sudden her face got all red and scrunched up. At first I thought maybe she was just being silly or passing gas, but nope not at all. Next thing I know I see this little floater coming out from behind her. I yelled for Doug and I grabbed her before she could sit on it and I quickly rescued all her toys. I cannot explain how disgusting I felt after that. I had to wash all her bath toys even though none of them were probably even looked at by her pretty little poop and I had to get that damn shit (haha) out of there. She's pooped in the tub once before but that was at my mom's house and my mom cleaned it out. Now I know how gross it is. I'm guessing that won't be the last time though. Luckily I have a great gag reflex for these kinds of things.

I have some other not so interesting things to say but I'm tired so I'll probably try and post tomorrow or something. Night y'all!!

Yes, I know this is pathetic but I had to take a picture. I've always wanted brown eggs and I finally gave in and bought some. They are more expensive than regular eggs so I could never let myself do it but this time I did. Woo hoo! Fabulous brown eggs are now living in my fridge. Ok, so not "living", but looking good I guess. Posted by Picasa

Isabella and Doug are in a movie!

Ok, so I got this site from KSoFM and it's funny as hell. I put bell-bell and Doug in the movie. You have to watch the entire thing to see them both. Too funny.

April hates me...

That's right...she hates me. It's obvious and she knows why. Now I'm sad. So damn sad... I guess she's too good for me...

Isabella is offficially part Chinese...

Ok, so she just had some chinese food for dinner, but it works. I wasn't in the mood to cook tonight so we ordered in chinese food. This was Isabella's first time eating chinese and she seemed to like it. She had an egg roll, sweet-and-sour chicken, white rice, and chicken lo mein. She liked the chicken lo mein the best because she really likes noodles of any kind and Doug just kept giving her noodles. It was cute because she would put a noodle in her mouth and it wouldn't fit all the way and she'd slowly, I mean slowly, slurp it up into her mouth. She also had pancakes for the first time last night. Yes, I'm one of those people that makes breakfast for dinner, but we like it. I eat my pancakes with peanut butter on them but since Isabella can't have peanut butter for awhile yet I had to giver her syrup on hers and she ate it all pretty well.

We got bored earlier so I put Isabella's drum inside of her hamper to see if she would crawl in to get it, but she only tried once. Then she basically just tried to get in through the netting by butting her head against it. I thought she would be able to entertain me more with that trick, but I guess not. :)

I signed up for fall classes today. Woo hoo. One of the classes I am taking is Minnesota history. Are you kidding me?! That's the only history class that they offer. Minnesota history!! I decided to take a history class because I was having withdrawals from history but I'm not sure why I went along with this class. I'm obsessed with certain parts of history but definitely not Minnesota. Hopefully I'll find or learn something interesting about this class. But I swear if they talk about Lewis and Clark I'll burn the book.

Anyways, that's about it. Night y'all!

Almost Isabella, just a little bit further. Posted by Picasa

Happy baby. Posted by Picasa

She's giving me this look like she know's what I'm up to and is going to get me... Posted by Picasa

Silly and talented all at the same time. I love how she's smiling with the noodle hanging out of her mouth. Too cute. Posted by Picasa

My cute baby. Oh yeah, Doug's cute baby too. :) Posted by Picasa

Isabella likes to snort now. Well it's actually this thing where she just breathes really heavy through her nose. It's hard to get a picture of her doing it but I finally did. Kind of anyways. It's so cute and I love how she'll just be crawling around and then all of a sudden you'll hear this snorting/heavy breathing coming from her direction and you see her face all scrunched up and looking cute. Posted by Picasa

Storm bitches...

We had a fun storm tonight. The sirens even went off. There wasn't a tornado though. It went off because there was a chance of the winds being 70 mph or something. I'm not sure if I agree with the sirens going off just because of high winds because it confuses people. Doug and I didn't know if we should go into the basement or not and the tv wasn't telling us anything about a tornado so we just stayed upstairs and watched the storm. I guess it's a good idea for the sirens to go off for high winds if you live in a trailer or something. It simply rained really hard for awhile and the wind blew like crazy and, as usual, it was over in a matter of minutes. I loved how the sky looked afterwards because in the west it was this awesome bright pink color. Then when you looked to the south there was a huge rainbow. Love it!! I took a few pics for no reason other than the fact that I was bored. :)

Our neighbors rain drain thingy. I know it's a lame pic, but I don't care. I like that you can see the water rushing out of it. So there all you haters... Posted by Picasa

Half of the rainbow outside our house. Well I guess it's obvious that the rainbow would be outside our house and not inside... Posted by Picasa

Even though the trees are blocking the sky you can see that it was a cool pink color after the storm. Posted by Picasa

How about some freshly chewed food in your eye?

So along with Isabella not eating baby food anymore she's found a new talent. Spitting her food out so it flies across the table and often times hits you in the face. What a nice gesture of love from my baby. :) Even when she's eating food she obviously likes she does this. She'll chew the food for a second or two and then it comes shooting out of her mouth. She will look at Doug and I like she's waiting for us to be happy about it, but we aren't obviously. We try to not look at her when she's doing it so maybe she'll get it through her little brain that she's not supposed to do that. Telling her to stop or saying no doesn't help since she probably still doesn't really know what those words mean anyway. The only thing that seems to really work is when she gets a piece of food in her mouth we have to right away clap and cheer for her. I know it sounds silly but I think it lets her know that eating the food is a good thing and it probably distracts her long enough so she forgets about spitting out the food. Whatever works I guess. I guess the nice thing about her eating real people food is that she's been trying lots more different kinds of food. She's had macaroni and cheese before but recently Doug made the kind with the shells and she absolutely loves that. She had a chicken sandwich yesterday and seemed to enjoy it. I made tator tot hotdish and she doesn't seem to like the tator tots all that much but it could've just been that she wasn't in the mood either. I'm still worried about whether she's getting enough food to eat and the right kinds. She's drinking more formula than she ever has so I know she's not getting enough actual food in her tummy. At least right now she's supposed to be on formula still so it's not necessarily a bad thing for her to drink more than usual I hope. My mom mentioned that maybe she's not eating as much either simply because it's hot out. That's an idea because I know I don't get as hungry when it's summer so maybe that's her deal. That would also explain her drinking more formula since she's probably thirstier. I don't know. She's acting fine so I'm sure she's not dieing or anything. She has her 1 year appointment in September so if she's still not eating much and has lost any weight by then I guess we'll see what her doctor has to say. I guess until then we'll just keep doing what we're doing and probably buy some face masks to protect us from flying food.

It's crazy to think but Isabella will be 1 year old Sep. 13. That's like a month and a half away, if that. I'm so damn excited. I'm excited to see her open her gifts and eat lots of cake. We're planning on going to Devils Lake to see Doug's family, and of course auntie April and uncle Kevin. :) Then going to Mayville on another weekend. I think her birthday falls sometime in the middle of the week so that should work out. It's going to be crazy having more than one birthday party for her. I guess that's the way it was for me growing up though too. I always had a birthday party with my friends and then one that was just with my family. I like that idea because then it feels like you're getting more presents than you actually are and your birthday actually lasts over a few days rather than just one day for a few hours. I think Doug and I will probably have a tiny party with just us and her. If anything just so I have an excuse to make a birthday cake for her. :) I can't wait to see how sick and fat she gets from all the cake. Ok, so I don't want her to get sick, but you know what I mean.

Hmmm...I think that's about it. Nothing else has been going on around here so I guess I don't really have anything else to say. See ya!

What the heck?!

So on KSoFM's site he adopted a little virtual puppy. I went to the website and decided to adopt a bunny. First of all, it's posted in a stupid spot and I don't have a clue how to put it on the side of the page or something. Second of all, do not adopt a bunny. All it does is jump around. That's pretty boring.
