Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

Lincoln park...

The Grand Forks Park people put on a family get together thing at Lincoln Park. We went. I took a few pics. Isabella had tons of fun.

I have no idea. She saw the tree and decided to hug it. I don't care what this means. I WILL continue to eat meat and so will she!

A day at the park...

Amber & Ben have Jayden (did i spell her name right?) for the week, so we thought it'd be fun to bring them to the park so they could hang out for a few hours.

Amber didn't know I was taking her picture when they came down the slide so this just goes to show how photogenic she is. :)

Seriously, can you tell Bailey is LOVING the swing??

Having a lunch break.

Can you see them? Jayden & Isabella decided to climb the dyke.

Bellbell's swimming lessons...

This was after her first day of swimming lessons. She was VERY excited to use her new princess towel she got from Tab. Thanks again Tab!

First time in the big pool. Basically the only thing Bellbell was willing to do the first week was sit in the water on the steps. Otherwise she basically watched the other kids do their thing until it was time to go to the baby pool.

Waiting for the balls.

Isabella was willing to run around the baby pool, but if they asked her to put more than her legs in the water she refused. She's watching the other girls blow bubbles.

Playing red light/green light with one of the teachers.

Freaking out about a bug in the water. Every time someone saw a bug they'd all scream and jump out of the pool until the teacher got it out.

The second week of lessons she was finally willing to play "chop, chop, timber". The teacher asked what tree they were (Bellbell was usually a lion tree), then she would "chop" their legs and they would jump into the water as the teacher caught them. Once Isabella finally tried it she loved it.

She looks like she's running, but she's actually walking back to the line for more "chop, chop, timber".

FINALLY! It took forver for her to be willing to do this! The teacher basically tricked her into doing it after a little bribeing, but once again she found out she loved it once she tried it.

Excited to be doing the airplane.
I'm glad we got her into lessons this year. Basically they just tried to get them used to the water so it wasn't a pass/fail thing. I'm excited for her to take lessons against next year and I know she is since she doesn't stop talking about it. Next up, dance lessons in a few weeks! I'm waaaay excited for that because I LOVE dance. I'm not sure yet if dance is Isabella's "thing", but I guess we'll find out. I hope she likes it as much as I do. Plus, she'll get to do shows that everyone can come watch. :)

My little turtle face...

This one reminded me of when she used to make a turtle face as a baby. It's not exactly the same, but I had to find an old one of her to post again.

At the fair...

This is the ride she went on first last year and it freaked her out so much she refused to go on any other rides. She loved it this time.

The little girl sitting in the front screamed and cried the entire ride. Reminded me of my little Bellbell's first time. :)

The little girl wanted to sit with Bellbell.

More pictures...

Crazy kids...

Bellbell using her new pool.

The slide isn't as sturdy as you think it would be so she needed a little help from daddy.

My cutie.

Buttloads of South Dakota vacation pictures...

Isabella all set for her road trip to South Dakota.

Having some chocolate milk at a small town restaurant that looked like a page out of a Gordman's catalog.

Storybook Land!

Oh no! She turned into a mermaid!

Bellbell running to the castle.

The antique firetruck.

One of the three little pigs homes.

Not a great picture, but you can see Isabella on the carousel.

Some weird swing contraption.

Bellbell helping daddy set-up the tent on her first camping trip ever.

Drinking her diet rootbeer mommy bought for her. We don't normally let Isabella drink ANY pop, but I figured this was an exception.

Throwing beanbags in the beanbag thing. It had a pole thing to hold it up, but Doug's logic told him to prop it up against a tree.

First smore!

Prehistoric rock in Tulare, South Dakota. I know we were impressed.

Unfortunately, many of Bellbell's naps were in the van. She was a trooper.

Diging for arrowheads and bones at the Prehistoric Indian Village. I found a big plastic arrowhead which Isabella was able to trade in for a "real" arrowhead.

Daddy teaching Isabella how to throw spears.

It would've been more impressive if it was entirely covered in corn.

Porters Sculpture Park ( I think). Isabella was impressed by the butterfly. The guy who runs the place, and made all the sculptures, was there. He seems like a nice guy, but also a little odd. Him and Doug would've got along great I'm sure.

Too bad the sun was where it was, but it still looks cool.

Yes, I'm in a picture. You can see a bunch more of the sculptures the guy did.

I liked this one.

Very cool.

Doug the astronaut. This was at the science museum place in Sioux Falls. Definitely one of the coolest museums I've ever been too.

Doug and Bellbell driving a space ship.

Bees. Hundreds of them. Gross, but at the same time I couldn't stop watching them.

Playing piano with her feet.

Wheelchair racing!

Doug hangliding (s/p).

Bellbell too.

A very yummy diner we ate at in Sioux Falls.

The Butterfly House. Basically a large room with tons of plants and flowers and hundreds of butterflies flying around. Very cool.

This is the outfit Isabella picked out to wear to the zoo. We don't judge.

Checking out the flamingos.

Isabella and daddy checking out the penguins. Hey! I'm there too!

Rolling by the zebras on our train ride.

Can you figure out which one is Bellbell?
After the zoo we went and had a picnic at a park that was within walking distance. Then Isabella did some swinging.

The tower at Falls Park.

Again, another very awesome place. Falls Park in Sioux Falls. We also went to the light show they have at night, but didn't take any pictures.

Doug and Isabella trying to give me a heart attack.

Ok, I can't remember what town we were in or what this place is called, but I loved it. You'd never know it was here. Especially since we saw nothing advertising it on the way. I'm so glad we stopped to see it though.

Daddy and Bellbell checking out the cliff things.

Our second time camping on our trip. I preferred this campsite because it had actual running water and flushing toilets, but we were also closer to other campers so that kind of sucked.

Daddy tickling Bellbell while we hung out in the tent for awhile during a rainstorm. It didn't last too long and we were ale to get the fire going again to roast marshmallows.

One last rock into the lake before we headed home.
