Obsessed With Isabella
This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

I'll always love Keith Olbermann...
I agree with him 100% on this. I don't always agree with him on everything because he tends to be WAY liberal, but on this he is right on. I don't know, I guess the fact that even though Doug and I really have no desire to get married, but the thought that one day our RIGHT TO could be taken away, maybe that's why it's such a big deal. Or maybe because it's just something that everyone should be allowed to do if they want. Or maybe because everyone should be treated as equals. Or maybe because I dont' want to ever tell my daughter that she has less rights than me or her friends. I don't know. It's just something that I feel strongly about and Keith Olbermann hit it right on the head.
You know, I supported Obama since 2004 and we all know how that turned out. Maybe since I've been a big supporter of gay marriage it'll turn out how I want too, huh? Yup. Pretty sure I'm awesome. :)

It's not all good...
California: The votes are not all in but it looks like a ban on gay marriage will PASS.
Arkansas: A ban on gay couples adopting children PASSED.
Arizona: A ban on gay marriage PASSED.
Florida: A ban on gay marriage PASSED.
Wow. It's amazing that on the same night the country can elect Barack Obama as president they can also discriminate against another group of people. I guess I should be thankful I was born straight, huh? I guess it just goes to show that there will always be struggles for people in our country, and I doubt that every person will ever be considered equal. There will always be members of society that will be treated as less than others. I'll just keep hoping that one day everyone in this country will be allowed the rights they are born with. The rights that they are allowed to be treated as equals and should not be discriminated against. Until then I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Isabella was born straight so that when she gets older she hopefully won't be told she can't marry someone she loves just because they are a woman, or that she can't adopt a child because her partner is not a man. Maybe one day. I never thought I'd see a black president so maybe in 50 years or something people will finally see the light.
(P.S.-I still can't believe Obama won!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!)

Oh my fucking god!!!!! Barack Obama is president?!?! Are you fucking kidding me? You aren't? Seriously? OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!! I can't believe it!!!! Give me a few years and maybe I'll finally believe it.
I'm soooooo damn excited!!! I wish I could scream without waking people up in my house or outside my house. Maybe I should get in my van and start screaming. Hey, that's a good idea.
Ok, I have to go. John McCain is going to speak about how he sucks. Woo hoo!
