Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

I CHANGED IT!!!

I have a new song now. I hope you are happy. I don't like this song at all, but for some reason it's the first song that came to mind tonight.

I forgot...

I forgot to mention something about watching Adele. Whenever Adele would make any kind of noise Isabella would laugh. It was definitely funny as hell. Adele was way more vocal than Isabella ever was at the age, so Doug and I definitely got a kick out of listening to her. It was hilarious when Adele would make some sort of grunting noise, or squeal, or whatever came to mind, and Isabella would burst out laughing. Too funny....at least that's something that they enjoyed doing together, right? :)

Ummm, alright...

Now this bitch is working again. At least at the moment. Fine.

Not much has been going on lately like always. Friday we watched Adele for Amadon & Josie. She did really good, but Isabella didn't like the situation. She actually tried to sit on Adele a couple times while she was in my lap. Well, at least she's an only child, right? :)

Yesterday we dropped Isabella off at my mom's for the afternoon while Doug and I went to Fargo. He's looking for specific paints for one of his art classes. It seems though that North Dakota does not carry what he needs. Sucks to be Doug. We did however get a new cell phone for Isabella. It's a toy one that you can record a message on and plays a couple songs, has a couple sayings, and even rings after it's been closed for a couple seconds. Definitely a cool phone. We've been looking for a new one for her because she plays with my old one, but we threw away the charger a long time ago so the phone is dead. She really liked playing with it before it died because of all the noises, etc.. Now she has one just like mine and it actually does stuff. We also bought her a tamborine. We are saving that to be one of her easter presents though. I think we are also going to get her some sidewalk chalk for easter. Walmart has that for like a buck, so I won't feel too bad when she uses them and breaks them like she does with her crayons.

Today we are just being lazy. I'm trying to clean around the house, but right now I'm not in the mood.

Next weekend Isabella will be staying at my mom's, and Doug and I are going up to DL to help Kevin and April finish moving. Actually, I get to help clean, so I get the easy job. :)

Hmmmm...I'm still annoyed with blogger so I'm done. More than likely this will magically disappear too, so....see ya!

FUCK YOU BLOGGER!!!!

I apologize for the swearing, but FUCK man!!! I'm actually posting pictures on here and they keep disappearing and reappearing. I thought I had it figured out and then all of a sudden there were 2 of the same picture. Therefore I went to delete one and now there's like 3 pictures missing. FUCK YOU BLOGGER!!! This is what I hate about blogs and now it's why I'm done messing with this shit for today. Sorry that when I finally do post stuff it doesn't come across as very happy. :)

This is how we keep warm when the weather is sooooo cold...at least it's a clean diaper :) Posted by Picasa

Adele chewing on her fingers. We watched her on Friday for a little bit. I was worried that Isabella wouldn't get along with her, and I was pretty much right. :) At least she didn't try hitting her or anything, but she was definitely jealous when either Doug or I held Adele. She also did not like that Adele played with some of her old toys. The only time Isabella was really interested in her was when I fed Adele. Isabella just stood there the entire time staring at her while she ate. Bell-bell also tried to help daddy a little while he changed Adele's diaper, but she mostly just washed her face with the diaper wipes. Posted by Picasa

Isabella being the "always sweet and caring" girl that she is. She decided that Adele was not allowed to play with any of her toys. Even though the toys we gave to Adele were one's Isabella hadn't played with in months she did not care. Posted by Picasa

If you look at Isabella's face you can see that she is very unhappy that daddy is letting Adele play with her toy. She also tried to take this one away, but Doug decided that enough was enough when it comes to toy snatching. Posted by Picasa

Isabella getting ready to snatch away the next toy from Adele. You can see the other one she grabbed right behind her. It's funny that she didn't want to play with the toys Adele had, but she just didn't want Adele to play with them either. Posted by Picasa

Isabella was happy that Adele brought her carseat along. She had more fun with that than with Adele. Posted by Picasa

This is chunk-chunk's "All gone!" sign. It is also easily confused for her "Where's daddy?" sign. Posted by Picasa

Bell-bell is proud of herself for eating pizza like a big kid. We usually cut it up into bite size pieces, but today we decided to be crazy and let her try to take bites off by herself. Way to go bell-bell!! Posted by Picasa

Hmmmm...

You are 99% Bitch
You hardly post anything on your blog for weeks.
When you finally do it's just a bunch of stupid quizzes that nobody cares about.
After doing this you realize you don't give a shit if anyone likes them or not because you are Karissa, and that's all that matters in life.

This one is just sick...

Your Daddy Is Dick Cheney

Bullshit...

Your Brain's Pattern
You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy. You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts.People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused. But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination.
What Pattern Is Your Brain?

This one was correct for the most part...

Your Five Variable Love Profile

Your experience level is high. You've loved, lost, and loved again. You have had a wide range of love experiences. And when the real thing comes along, you know it!
Dominance:
Your dominance is low. This doesn't mean you're a doormat, just balanced. You know a relationship is not about getting your way.And you love to give your sweetie a lot of freedom.
Cynicism:
Your cynicism is high.Sure you believe in love, but you know it doesn't come easily. You scoff at "love at first site" and "soumates."You rather take the real thing, as unglamorous as it is.
Independence:
Your independence is low. This doesn't mean you're dependent in relationships..It does mean that you don't have any problem sharing your life.In your opinion, the best part of being in love is being together.

Chunk-chunk is not nice to her pretend-hypochondriac mommy...

The picture below is of bell-bell this morning shortly after I got her out of her crib. At about 8:05 this morning she was fussing so I went in her room and the blanket was over her head, so I figured she was mad about that. I got her out to change her diaper and she basically just layed there all limp, and couldn't even keep her eyes open. After she was changed she moved just enough so that she was in my lap. For the next 10 minutes I just held her while she fell back to sleep. Then I got the blankets and layed her on the living room floor. She slept until Doug got home from work, and when he came into the living room she wanted him to hold her. Then he layed her back on the floor and she watched Sesame Street until Doug decided to try and make her some breakfast to see if she would eat. Surprisingly, she did actually eat.

It probably took until about 11 this morning before she seemed completely back to normal. Needless to say, Doug and I were getting really worried about her. A normal morning for her is nothing like this morning. Usually after I change her diaper she stands up right away and goes into her room to get toys, then she'll walk around and watch us make her breakfast. She's usually talking her unknown language and being loud. I did call the hospital to talk to a nurse about it. She told us just watch her and if she doesn't get back to normal by this afternoon to bring her in. She didn't really know what could be wrong with her, but thought she may just be coming down with something.

We took Isabella's temperature twice, but she didn't have a fever. We thought maybe she was getting new teeth, but she didn't seem to be in any sort of pain. So we've come to two conclusions on what could've been wrong with her.

1. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. Now this one is probably far off from what was wrong with her. The only thing is that the detector has been a little bitch lately, so for all we know we could be breathing it in and won't know until one of us dies. The only thing is that neither Doug or I have any symptoms, and the only symptom Isabella had was lethargy. If that's what you call it even. So I'm starting to think that it's probably not that, but who knows.

2. She was weak from not eating anything. This one I'm more willing to believe because she doesn't eat. Yesterday she ate a piece of peanut butter toast, a banana, and milk for breakfast. She ate the entire banana and about 1/4 of the toast. For lunch she had some milk and that's all she would put in her mouth. For supper she had, well, she ate the ketchup and some milk. That's how most of her days go when it comes to eating. Like I've said many times, the girl just doesn't eat. So I don't think it would be far off to think that she was like she was this morning because she was hungry or something. The thing that gets me is that if she's starving herself to the point where she's too weak or tired to act like herself in the morning, then isn't there something wrong with her? I've always heard that kids will eat when they are hungry, but bell-bell could go days without eating probably and wouldn't even notice. I don't know if there is really anything wrong with her, but I don't like it. I've decided she has anorexia. I don't care if she's only 16 months old. She doesn't eat and she is constantly "exercising", pretty sure that's anorexia.

Anyways, she's doing better now and hopefully she'll be normal when she wakes up from her nap in a little bit. She has a weigh in on Tuesday, so I can bring it up then. Otherwise she has her 18 month appointment in March. I'm hoping she just didn't get a good nights sleep and so she was still tired this morning.

Gymnastics aka torturenastics...

Last night was Isabella's first night of gymnastics. Let's just say that I've very excited that Doug will be the one with her next week.

Only one parent can do the class with the child because they have limited space. The other parent has to just watch. We decided that I would do the class with Isabella last night. Idiot...

In the beginning all the kids and their parents sit on these carpet squares. The teacher turns on some music and they do different dance movements to the music. Let's just say that Isabella was definitely not interested in what these other kids were doing and just wanted a damn balloon. Most of the time was spent with me holding onto her shirt so she couldn't run away. Trying to get her attention for even a second wasn't happening.

When they moved over to a little obstacle course she didn't care about it either. All the other little kids followed the arrows and did the little stations, and seemed content to follow the directions. Mind you, all of these kids are between the ages of 1 & 2. Isabella mostly tried to run to other parts of the gym, or tried to take apart the little stations. I was only able to get her to try anything by placing her onto the beams, or trampolines, etc..

The next part was having them hang from bars. She liked doing that because she was able to kick her feet, but that only entertained her for about a minute maybe.

The rest of the time was just more of her running and my following. It's funny how we've always known that she has super energy and sitting still is not her best feature, but it's weird seeing her around other little kids her age and most of them acted nothing like her. I think a big part of it is just that she was new and therefore she didn't have a clue as to what was going on. I blamed Doug last night for giving bell-bell his damn ADD, but in reality I think she's fine.

Overall I think Isabella had fun just running around. I, on the other hand, did not have so much fun. I hope she's a little "calmer" next week for Doug. Part of the reason for us putting her in gymnastics is so she can socialize with other kids. I don't think she's going to go along with that plan though. I really thought she'd be at least slightly fascinated by what the other kids were doing, and maybe would sit and watch them or something. Nope. She could give a rats ass about other kids or people. She would get her mind set on doing something and that was all she was focused on. For the most part it doesn't bother me that she's comfortable doing her own thing, but unfortunately when she gets to daycare and then kindergarten I don't think that will fly for long. She's going to be one of those kids that jumps out of her chair in the middle of class, or talks all the time.

I think the more time she spends around the other kids and at gymnastics will hopefully, HOPEFULLY, teach her to pay attention a little more. Keep all your fingers crossed. I need all the fingers I can get...
