The presidential debate...

Maybe I'm biased (I am) but Obama did awesome.

McCain was sooo fucking vague about things. Doug and I also noticed how he wouldn't look at Obama for some reason. Does that mean he would suck as a president? No. But it does mean he's a big girl about things and doesn't want to make eye contact with Obama because he might start a bitch fight or something and previously had his feelings hurt. I was stressed/concerned/worried/anxious/scared about this debate. I wasn't sure how Obama would hold up to McCain. I have every confidence that Obama knows what he's talking about and truly believes he knows what he's doing, but it's a debate...anything can happen. I was very pleasantly surprised that, in my opinion (very biased again), Obama did awesome! McCain simply didn't get right to the point and tried to make obscure lame jokes the entire time. Unfortunately when you have a live audience that isn't reacting to your jokes they come off even worse. Yes, I'm all for supporting veterans, but I'm pretty sure that after tonight the only people that should feel like they should vote for McCain are veterans. I don't know how many times he snuck the word "veteran" into the debate but it was several times at random moments. Also, he said a few times how he never won the "Miss Congeniality" award. Seriously, McCain and Palin need new speech writers since they keep recylcing the same old lame jokes over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...ok, you should get the point by now.

In summary, (because I can do that) I thought this debate went really, really well for Obama. McCain looked lost and old. Obama looked in control and when McCain would say straight out lies, Obama would jump in and correct him. Loved it!

I'm beyond excited for the Vice President debates next week. I can't wait to see Sarah Palin talk. Oh my fucking god!!! I may be laughing more than I've laughed in a long time. Seriously, Palin vs. Biden. Who do you think will win??? If you think it's Palin you need to get the fuck away from me.

A random question...and lots of anger...

Why does Sarah Palin still read from a script when she does her speeches?

Every time they show her speaking she says the EXACT same thing over and over again. It's almost word for word from what she said the previous time. I don't understand. Does she have nothing to add? Her speech writers couldn't give her any more issues to talk about? I'm sorry, but her jokes aren't any funnier the 50th time than they were the 1st time. I'm also sick of her exaggerating things and lying by omission. This woman scares me. Not because she's a strong, successful woman, with glasses that are all the rage now. She scares me because she's an idiot.

BTW, I'm also sick of hearing that people who weren't supporting John McCain before are now going to vote for him just because he picked a woman to run with him. Seriously, if that's all the criteria he needed to get people to vote for him than why couldn't he have at least picked a woman that didn't have such extreme right-wing views? For a man who claims to be able to bring everyone together and to work both sides he really fucked it up with Palin. I'm guessing in reality he could've picked just about any woman to run with him and all those dumbasses out there that are voting for him because Palin's a woman still would have voted for him whether they agreed with any of his views or not. It's just as stupid to vote for someone only because of their sex as it is to NOT vote for someone because of their race.

Also, if I keep hearing about Obama's lipstick comment being "sexist" I will go crazy. McCain was the first one to bring up the lipstick stuff last year when talking about Hillary Clinton. Then Palin herself brought it up in her nomination acceptance speech. Can only republicans talk about lipstick? I guess so. I'm tired of everyone being called sexist just because they disagree with Palin, and are pointing out her lies, half-truths, and idiotic ideas. While at the same time her supporters bring up what she was wearing, or her damn glasses.

I'm also beyond tired of people basically calling her a frickin super hero for not having an abortion when she found out her youngest son would be born with Down Syndrome. Really? Is it that amazing? The way they talk about her decision to have them you would think that having a child with Down Syndrome was a curse, and would cause you to have a horrible life as a parent. Is it really that difficult of a decision? I mean if you get pregnant and find out your child will be born missing a finger, would you kill it? I realize that raising a child with a disability must be incredibly challenging, and will more than likely be a lifelong process and not stop when the child turns 18, but is she such a damn martyr for deciding not to kill her child? I just think it's funny that the way they talk about her son makes me feel like her child is this huge burden that she has to endure for the rest of her life.

I'm just hoping people will look past her outfits, glasses, and lipstick and realize that she's an idiot. I can't wait for the vice president debates to see how well she really knows her issues.

Sorry, for blabbing, but Palin was just on CNN and I was starting to shake from all the anger, so I had to post something. I also apologize that for the next two months there will probably more angry posts about McCain/Palin. My hope is that it will only be for two more months and not for the next 4 years. If that happens you may have to come visit us in Canada.

My house is disgusting...

Seriously. It grosses me out. I think when you're in the same place day after day it's easy to ignore the grossness of your home. Then when you decide to psycho clean you realize how sickening of a place you live in. I'm amazed at all the nasty stuff I don't see just because I'm surrounded by it everyday. I just feel overwhelmed with the crap I "forget" to clean (read that as: "I'm too lazy to clean, and if I can't see it then it's probably clean."). Well, since I've got nothing better to do right now I've decided to become Martha Stewart of the North. That's right bitch, watch out. I even have her awesome cleaning bible, so I'm armed for an all out war on my house.

There's really no point to this post other than my house is gross and I posted pictures. Enjoy!

I didn't take any after pictures. I forgot. I also didn't take pics of boiling them because, well, that's not very exciting. Overall, I liked them. I chose to make ones with parmesan cheese because Bellbell LOVES parmesan cheese on her spaghetti, so I figured she'd go crazy for these. Well when they were all done she ate half of one and has refused to eat any more since.

Would I ever make them again? Maybe. I would like to try the cinnamon sugar kind since I'm not a huge parmesan cheese fan and Isabella sure didn't like this kind. I'll definitely do it on a day when I'm bored out of my mind though because it was a loooong process for not very amazing pretzels. I'm glad we tried it though.

First day of "school"...

No, our house isn't slanted. I just suck at taking pictures.

Anyways...Isabella actually picked out a dress that I also liked. It reminds me of something an old lady would wear. We did have a very long discussion about the brown tights though. I do not like tights that match shoes. Like when people wear black tights/nylons with black shoes. It just looks odd to me. Isabella insisted that only brown tights would match, and as much as I still can't stand the way it looks, I realized I need to stick to my belief that she should be able to wear what she wants (for the most part), so there she is wearing her brown tights.

She's had a good first week so far. She seems to be adjusting well to a new teacher and classmates. She's also now staying for childcare afterwards. She seems to like that too. Although I think it's too long to be away from her everyday, but what are you gonna do?

She started dance a couple weeks ago. She loved it the first day and wanted to go back right away. Last Friday she fell asleep in my lap during class because it had been her first full day of childcare and wasn't able to fall asleep during nap time because, "The other kids don't let me sleep.", as Bellbell put it. She seems excited to go again this Friday despite last week, so I'm hoping she's able to take a nap before. Plus, a little girl, Nevaeh (I think that's how it's spelled), is in her dance class. Nevaeh was in her headstart class last year, was in swimming lessons with her this summer, and also goes to childcare in the afternoon with her. They seem to like eachother, and they even have the exact same dance outfits, so they look super cute all matching.

I'll probably take pics during her dance class this Friday, but I want to make sure it's ok with her teacher first. I haven't gotten a chance to ask her yet and didn't want to be rude or anything. Hopefully I'll be able to post some soon.

Making bread crumbs...

I had Amber's food processor for awhile so I decided to make bread crumbs. Last time I made them I had to pound the shit out of a bag full of bread, so I figured a machine doing all the work for me would be way easier. It was. Plus, I didn't even have to put them in the food processor. Bellbell was a big help.

Sesame Street...
