Obsessed With Isabella
This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

This is how Isabella looked after her daddy dressed her the other day. If you can't tell, her dress is tucked into her little underpants thing. He does this because for some reason this annoys the hell out of me. He even let her go outside like this and walked to the car with her looking like a big poofy-butt!!!
Wouldn't you like to be me?
As usual I don't have much to say except that today was a good day. Nothing incredible happened or anything exciting. We just all had a good day overall.
Today was Doug's very last day of college. He still has to hand in a take-home final test, but he does not have to attend anymore classes. Woo hoo for Dougie!
Isabella played in her pool once again today. I finally gave up on trying to actually keep her in her pool instead of letting her crawl out and crawl all around the grass. She probably crawled out of and back into her pool around 15 times, but she seemed to really enjoy it. Also, she had real adult Macaroni and Cheese today. She definitely likes it better than the baby food mac and cheese. The only downside is it takes her so long to eat it because she has to chew the noodles. I'm happy to oblige though because it makes her happy. She also got to chew on a pickle today. I have a plan to put nasty tasting stuff on any future pickles so she won't like them and won't want to eat anymore of them. For those of you who don't know me I cannot stand pickles. Hopefully Isabella will grow out of this and hate them as much as I do. :) She does like her mushrooms though.
I didn't do much today except just simply had an awesome day. We had to go to Walmart for some stuff and I tried my hardest to buy a new toy for Isabella, but I couldn't. So many baby toys are basically just the same as the others but just different prices. There was this one really cool thing that is supposed to help her learn to walk but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on it, so I didn't. I HAD to buy her something so I ended up buying her a new Carebear book. At least it's educational. :)
I had another test today and didn't do as well as I hoped but even that couldn't make me pissed off today. If I could tell you all why I'm so happy I would. Basically it's just a great day!!!

Nothing interesting to say but I'm going to make you read it anyways...
Not much has been happening around here lately. Doug and I saw the new Batman movie on Saturday. I really liked it. Doug forced me to watch all the other Batman movies awhile ago which ended up being good because then I could compare this one to the old ones. I think this one was my favorite. We also went to the art museum at UND. The pictures we saw were pretty boring since there were lots of them of just fields and crap. Sorry, but if you live in North Dakota you don't need to look at pictures of fields. We bought a book on the 97' flood. It's pretty much just a bunch of different pictures that photographers took during the flood. I really like it. I love books with just pictures. Not that I can't read or anything but I always like to see visuals. It seems like I can imagine what's going on better than with just words.
Yesterday we took Isabella to her 9 month doctor appointment. She weighs almost 19 1/2 pounds. We also found out that the bumps on her arms have a name but I can't remember what they're called. Basically she's had these bumps for a couple months now. They've gotten better, but I still feel bad for my baby. They don't seem to bother her or anything so that's good. The doctor said that she'll probably have them on her arms all the time. I'm assumming that means for the rest of her life, but who knows. They aren't real noticeable or anything just when you touch her arms. We also found out that she does not need to be eating only table foods by her age. At her last WIC appointment the lady said that by 9 months she shouldn't be anymore baby food just table food and formula. I didn't think that made sense so I basically ignored what she told me. I'm glad I did. The doctor told us that some babies won't eat baby food after they've had table foods so some babies are only eating table foods at nine months. Basically since Isabella still likes her baby food then it's not a big deal. We are going to buy her some Gerber Graduate foods pretty soon. They are soft enough that she can eat those with only two teeth and it'll help her get even more experienced with eating table foods. She also had to get her finger pricked to check for anemia. Her hemoglobin was really good so we're happy. I totally thought she was going to ball when she had her finger pricked, but she didn't. It was funny because the nurse pricked her finger while Isabella watched. Then she just kind of looked at me and I don't know if it was my facial expression of worry or what, but all of a sudden she just got this worried look on her face and started to basically just fuss. Once the nurse put the bandaid on her finger she was perfectly content with trying to get it off. That was a way better experience than the shots in the past.
Isabella's been swimming in her pool pretty much everyday. I'm so glad my mom bought that for her. I had been thinking I would take her to the public pool but this is way easier. I'm planning to take her to the public pool sometime in the near future so she can be around other babies, but this makes it easier to just walk out the back door and throw her in her pool.
Next Wednesday we are all going down to Iowa for my cousins wedding. We are staying in the cities for two nights and then we'll be in Iowa for two nights. Hopefully it'll be a fun trip. I don't see why it wouldn't since we get to go shopping at the Mall of America and everything. I just hate driving long distances but at least we're not driving all the way to Iowa at once. I'm excited to see how Isabella acts at the mall. There will be so many people there I just wonder how she'll feel.
Other than that I have nothing to say. Oh yeah, school still sucks but I only have like 3 1/2 weeks left of this semester and then hopefully I can transfer to UND. Woo hoo!
Anyways...night everyone!

Here's a front view of chunk-chunk's pool. On the left side of the picture sits the top of it. It's supposed to shade her from the sun but the sun was behind clouds when we had her out so we didn't use it. Also, you can hook the hose up to the tail and it sparys water out of it, but Isabella doesn't really like that yet so we aren't using it.
