Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

Christmas in Devils Lake...

The girls wearing their matching sweatshirts. Bellbell wouldn't put the camera down, so this is the best I could get.
Wearing one of her new fairy princess outfits.

Chilling eating some goldfish.

There she goes!
I'd be more excited about sledding if Doug carried me back up the hill every time too.

Christmas at home...

Eating some xmas eve dinner. We had appetizers xmas eve, monkey bread xmas day breakfast, and lasagna xmas day dinner. That's what I grew up having (minus the monkey bread) and can't imagine anything different.

Sleeping or thinking? Not sure. We gave Isabella my old barbie house for Christmas. We used some of the old furniture that I played with, but the mattress for the bed & pull-out couch were missing, so Doug sewed some new ones. Yes, Doug did. I can't sew to save my life. We were up until about 2 in the morning on Christmas eve getting everything set-up & put together. It was a long night, but worth it.

Woo hoo! The barbie house is ready for Christmas morning. Parts of the house have turned yellow over the years (It is 20 years old after all), but overall it's still in great condition. I tried for almost a year to find a house that was anywhere near what I had growing up, but they all sucked & were expensive for what you got. I'm glad my mom kept mine around so I could give it to bellbell.

I bet she'll never see the house sitting there. ;) We had to hide it somehow since we didn't want Isabella to see it until after she went to the bathroom in the morning. She has to walk through the living room to get to the bathroom, so this was the best way we could hide it.

Santa ate most of the cookies, drank all the cider, the reindeers at all the reindeer food, and Santa even left Isabella a note to thank her. Santa rocks!

Isabella had been asking for a purple sled for awhile, and we FINALLY found one. I mean Santa finally had one made. He's slow like that.

Cookies & a Birthday...

Isabella at Aiden's 1st birthday party. This was the first birthday party she's been to where OTHER people were supposed to open presents. She really wanted to open Aiden's present for him.
Putting some frosting on the ginerbread cookies. (See below)

Sticking on the eyes. We just used raisins and red hots.

The finished product. I was impressed with how well she did. I showed her how to do a couple so she understood how to use the frosting to stick on the eyes, buttons, etc.. She did a few cookies the "normal" way, but then got creative & did her own thing. Personally, I like the one's where she did her own thing the best. I like when she doesn't do what everyone else would do & does what she thinks would look good. I think most kids are like that, but as they get older they are taught to do what's "normal", or "acceptable" by others. I hope she continues to do her own things and not follow everyone else.

Don't they look excited that I'm taking their picture while Isabella reads? I know when I'm not wanted...I just don't care...

Beautiful Bailey looking surprised...

This is what a 3 year old with constipation looks like...oh, and her tummy gets all big like that too...

This is how she rolls...
