Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Ours is about 2/3's over, and Monday we are heading to visit Doug's family.

I hope everyone is having a great time with whatever they are doing. This Christmas I am thankful for my Paxil as I'm not sure I'd be able to handle April and Kevin's birthing without it. ;) Aiden isn't related to me even the slightest bit, but I feel like he's more than just my best-friend's new little baby. My mind never stops thinking about all of them, and I'm just incredibly happy that everything is going better than yesterday. Obviously, I shouldn't be surprised since I know his parents. ;)

Anyways, I'm just glad that everyone around me is happy and MUCH healthier.

Merry Christmas!

Aiden is here!

Around 3:30 Kevin called to say that April was going to have a c-section. We got to the hospital shortly after 4. April was still in recovery so we weren't able to see her, but we talked to Kevin for a little bit before he got to go in to see her. We were able to go into the nursery to see Aiden. My god, he's sooo cute! I was surprised to find out that he only weighs a little over 5 lbs.. I was totally expecting a a bigger baby because he was a little past his due date, but he looks like a strong little stinker. He has some hair, which I'm sure April is happy about,;) and it's almost like a blonde color. He's absolutely gorgeous!

We weren't able to see April before we left, but we plan on driving back up to Forks in the morning and hopefully she'll feel good enough for some company. I am beyond excited!

*I'm calling him Aiden only because that's what they were planning to name him, but for all I know they could've decided on something different since he was born.*

Here comes Aiden! Here comes Aiden! Right down O'Brien lane!

Ok, that was horrible. Anyways...

I received a call from April around noon saying they were heading to the hospital because they thought her water had broke. At about 1:30 Kevin called and said that, yes, Aiden is on his way.

If I remember correctly Kevin said that April was not dialated at all and that the doctor was planning to induce her. He also said that he thought April was going to have a long and hard labor.

I really hope it goes easy for her, well as easy as birthing can go. When Isabella gets up from her nap we are going to stop by and visit them before we head to my mom's for Christmas.

I hope April doesn't mind me posting, but I figured they probably didn't have time to call everyone yet, and this way whoever reads my blog knows what's up.

I'll update later if I hear anything new, and if it's ok with April.

New pictures...at last...

this is pretty much where she hung out at her grandpas over thanksgiving weekend...she liked being in her grandpas bed watching cartoons... Posted by Picasa

getting ready to make sugar cookies for christmas...lets just say that it was a HUGE production...it's hard explaining to a two year old how to make cookies with cookie cutters and then how to put sugar on them and then that we have to wait while they cook...in the end there was an enormous mess, but i had tons of fun and isabella did too... Posted by Picasa

starting to put the colored sugar on the cookies...the best part of course... Posted by Picasa

i'm not sure if that's enough sugar or not...isabella basically picked out one cookie on every baking sheet and dumped as much sugar on it as she could before i took the bowl away... Posted by Picasa

eating one of her cookies...she definitely did a good job... Posted by Picasa

reading a book... Posted by Picasa

i miss the days of side ponytails...unfortunately, i don't look cute in them anymore, but bell-bell sure does... Posted by Picasa
