Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

Whatcha lookin at bell-bell?? Posted by Hello

Yum! Doesn't that look good? Posted by Hello

I decided to risk it and go to the bathroom without putting Isabella in her crib. I turned on her Baby Einstein video to watch so she'd hopefully be distracted enough not to get into anything. Obviously I was wrong because she found the camera and decided to try and eat it. Posted by Hello

We gave Isabella her first taste of real bananas and kiwis yesterday. I'm excited that we get to let her try new foods. Especially since its real people food. She liked the bananas but not the kiwi. She had lots of problems trying to pick up the chunks since they are slimy, but she did pretty good. Posted by Hello

"Mom, what the hell is this stuff? Do I eat it? It's slimy." Posted by Hello

She does not want any kiwi whatsoever. Posted by Hello

Another f*$@^!(% tooth...

Well we think she's getting another tooth. Doug was playing with Isabella earlier today and thought he saw a little white poking out of her gums right next to the tooth she already has. If she's getting another tooth it would sure explain her acting weird the last week. Mainly she's just been crabbier than usual. I mean usually when she's awake she's in a good mood and doesn't get crabby until she needs something like sleep, or food. But lately she's just been crabby to be crabby. The last couple days her diapers have been really....lets just say icky. I was starting to think I should call the doctor to see if she should get checked out, or was wondering if it was something she ate, because she's probably had like 3-4 really nasty diapers a day for the last 3 days. Which is unusual for Isabella. Then today she drove me crazy. Simply because she had woken up from her afternoon nap around 1:45 and between then and 8:30 tonight she only slept 20 minutes. That is a huge amount of time for Isabella to be awake. She usually takes naps every 2 hours and rarely every 3 hours, and lately they've only lasted for about an hour and if I'm really lucky she'll sleep for like 2 hours. She was constantly acting tired so I would put her in her crib and she would lay there and stick her thumb in her mouth so I figured, yes she is definitely going to go to sleep this time. Then about 10 minutes later she would be screaming at the top of her lungs like she was being beaten. She hadn't hit her head on anything, and would just be standing up in her crib crying real tears. I couldn't figure it out (Doug had forgot to tell me that he had seen what he thought was a new tooth). Finally I put some gum numbing stuff in her mouth and miraculously she fell asleep.

I'm amazed at how much she took out of me today. I never realized how much it helped to have her take her naps during the day. I guess I just took it for granted or something. All I know is that 7 hours of constantly playing with her is exhausting. Plus she wanted to be held so much and carried around, which for a woman with the back of an 80 year old its not a comfortable experience to carry her around forever. I just really hope that she is getting a tooth so she'll start feeling better soon. I really hope she doesn't wake up every couple hours tonight screaming in pain like she did last time she got a tooth.

I'm also trying to pack up the house. Doug is basically doing the basement since its mostly all his shit, so I'm trying to do the upstairs, or at least the living room and kitchen. Good luck. I cannot pack to save my life. Plus I'm overly anal about wrapping stuff in paper. It probably took me like an hour to wrap the pictures in our living room because I had this need to wrap them all like christmas presents. I have no idea why, but I did it. And that's all I've done so far. Hopefully by the time Doug gets home I'll at least have all the candles packed. There's quite a few of them, but they aren't big or anything. I'm just shitty at knowing how to put things in a box so it all fits. Maybe I'll wrap them all up and Doug can put them in the box. :)

So I think I've rambled on long enough. I'll leave you with even more pictures!!! You know you want to see them!

Isabella with her new toy. It's for 9 month olds, but she seems to be able to play with it just fine, so I don't know why the age matters. Personally I almost wish we hadn't even gotten it for her. I know she loves it, but if I hear it make those stupid sounds it makes one more time I promise I will flush it down the toilet. Posted by Hello

Isabella playing. Yes that's daddy sleeping on the couch. Posted by Hello

She's about to stuff that entire ball into her mouth. Ok, so it doesn't actually fit, but she tries. Posted by Hello

Isabella wearing an outfit that Doug's cousin Lori bought for her when she was first born. I think its cute. It looks like a Sunday School outfit to me. All proper and shit. I like the picture though because Isabella just looks pissed off that she has it on. No her socks don't match, but what are you going to do about it? Posted by Hello

Isabella after a nap. Yes she actually took a nap this morning. Posted by Hello

Daddy was poking his head in and out of the room while I took this pic. She thought he was funny obviously. Posted by Hello

This is about all she did with the box and then she got annoyed with it and crawled away. Posted by Hello

I think she's annoyed that I'd rather take her picture then pick her up.  Posted by Hello

Lots of pics of the most beautiful baby ever...

I've posted lots of new pics of chunk-chunk today. I didn't post any for a few days because first of all we had our old computer, then we were gone all weekend, and then Hello wouldn't work for the last couple days. Which by the way I am sure it is 100% NOT the new computers fault. I think Hello just hates me and likes to mess with me and not work. By the way, thank you soooo much Kevin for our new computer!!! It's amazing that we used our old one for so damn long.

Lets see, what's new?? Well last Thursday Isabella officially crawled for the very first time. I say officially because before she would just kind of scoot on her belly by pushing on the floor with her feet, but Thursday she actually moved her body all together. It was really funny though because she was so slow and just looked like a little caveman baby learning to crawl. It took her about 5 minutes to crawl 5 feet, but she did it. I was sooo proud. Since then she's crawling much better. She's not crawling at a super speed, but she's gotten good enough where she doesn't look so clumsy when shes crawling. I'm so excited for her, but at the same time it kind of sucks because now I'm scared to step out of the room for even a second. Basically this just means I have to start being a responsible mommy and actually watch her. :)

Isabella is also pulling herself up on things a lot better. This is exciting too, but it also terrifies me. For example I'll put her in her crib to take a nap. I'll leave the room and I always sit on the couch until I hear that she's stopped fussing her talking to herself so I know she's asleep. Well now instead of just going right to sleep like she used to she decides she's more interested in trying to crack her head open. She'll pull herself up into a standing position and start bouncing. She bounces and rocks the crib so hard I can hear it through the wall. She does this for a couple minutes and then all of a sudden I hear BANG! Then screaming (I'm usually screaming and crying louder than she is just so you know). I go in there and she's always laying with her head smack against the wood on the crib. I don't know why her head is still in one piece, but luckily it is.

She's also started to give hugs. I don't know if she knows that she's giving us a hug, or if its just a silly baby thing, but all I can say is its probably the cutest thing she's ever done in her 7 months of life. I love how she puts her arms around my neck and squeezes, or she'll stretch her arms across your chest and lays her head on you. It's so unbelievably cute!!!

We had our WIC appointment yesterday. She now weighs almost 18 1/2 pounds (with clothes on), and this is why she is called chunk-chunk. The lady said that since she is able to eat cheerios without chokeing and dieing that we can start giving her more table foods. Like cooked vegetables, noodles, and soft fruits such as bananas and melon. I'm so excited to let her try new foods. I'm nervous because I'm always imagining she's going to choke and I won't be able to save her, but I suppose this is all just part of being a mommy of a little baby. We also aren't supposed to give her juice before she goes to bed anymore because of her new tooth. Otherwise the sugar will just stay on her tooth, which obviously is not good for it. I think we should start brushing it too. Well not exactly brushing it, but you are supposed to just clean off her tooth and gums after she eats so sugar and other stuff doesn't rot her tooth away.

Hmmm...what else? What else? We move into our new house in 4 days. I cannot wait to sleep there. I can't wait for Isabella to have her own room, and for us to have a dinning room (is that how you spell dinning room???). Waaaayyyyy too excited.

I think that's all I have to say for now. Later alligator!!!

Isabella getting ready to throw her toy at me. I don't know why but I always seem to take pics of her when she looks like she's going to throw something at me or punch me. Obviously since she's only 7 months old she isn't big enough to beat me up yet, but hopefully this isn't how she's going to act when she's older. Especially because with my luck she'll be like 6 feet tall or something. Posted by Hello

"You dare to get closer mommy? Alright, well I'll just be able to throw this at you easier." Posted by Hello

Hmmm...I guess its a good thing that she's learned to crawl so she can watch her Baby Einstein movies really closely. Posted by Hello

Still watching tv. You think she's addicted? Posted by Hello
