Obsessed With Isabella

This blog is dedicated to my daughter, Isabella. She is the smartest, strongest, most beautiful little girl you could ever meet. This is why she needs a blog all about her. Although she is the center of my life I will also share my opinions and ideas on other subjects, but mostly this will be about my little chunk-chunk.

My baby's first bruise...

Yesterday Isabella was crawling through the kitchen, well she was crab-walking through the kitchen. She was wearing a dress and I think she accidentally stepped on the edge of her skirt. Next thing you know you hear a loud smack on the kitchen floor and Isabella screaming her head off. At first we couldn't see any marks on her face, but she definitely was screaming like she was hurt. She was crying the biggest tears I think I've ever seen come out of her little eyes. Later that day I noticed a huge red mark by her right eye. So obviously that's where she hit her head. This morning the mark was smaller, but now it's black and blue. I feel sooo terrible for her. I know that Doug and I didn't do anything wrong, but I just feel like it's my fault. Deep down I know it's not because I realize that as she learns how to crawl more and climb up on things and eventually walk, she's going to probably get even more bruises. I just hope she doesn't. I think part of me feeling bad, in all honesty, is that I'm worried that other people are going to think we beat our daughter or something. I think we'll just have to not go to many places with her for the next few days. I know that if I saw a little baby with a bruise by her eye I'd probably wonder if the parents smacked the kid or something. Hopefully nobody we'll think that. Hopefully it will go away soon so I don't have to feel guilty every single time I look at it. I know neither Doug or I could have prevented her from hitting her head on the floor, but I wish I could have. Anyways....

This is the picture I took of Isabella's bruise this morning. The picture is a little blurry, but you can see the bruise by her right eye. It looks so much better than it did yesterday. Posted by Hello

This is how she walks around when she isn't wearing pants. Probably because her knees hurt from the floor when they are bare. But this is proof that she walks like a little crab and that's how she trips and smacks her poor little face on the floor. Posted by Hello

Bell-bell looks kind of sleepy in this one. Posted by Hello

The other day I got bored and thought it'd be funny to put Isabella's beads around her waist. She was interested in them for like 5 seconds and then decided that it was no big deal.  Posted by Hello

She obviously has better things to do than to figure out what the hell is around her waist. Posted by Hello

It's hard to tell but her hair looks all messy because she doesn't like to have it brushed after her bath anymore. No patience whatsoever. She does like her lotion bottle though. Posted by Hello

Oh how I love college, yes I do, I wish I could go to college forever...(lies,lies,LIES!!!)

Summer semester just started this week for me. Man, I am having so much fun already (sarcasim). I thought last semester was hard. I mean the classes themselves and what I was studying was so incredibly easy (with the exception of one of my computer classes for some god awful reason), but it was scheduling myself and making sure everything was in on time that was really hard. I like online classes because I like going at my own pace for the most part. I mean I can work ahead easily and the teacher usually gives you the assignments ahead of time and they are basically all due at the same time every week and you have like an entire week to do them. But I just feel so damn disorganized. That's the hard thing about it all. I've found out that I like actually going to a classroom because I feel more organized somehow. I don't know exactly what it is about it, but I guess it's just because there's more structure or something. I like structure.

Summer classes are going to be really hard. I'm taking Ethics, Psych, Sociology, and Political Science. I think I will enjoy them for the most part and they will be pretty easy to learn, but since these classes are only 6 weeks long the stress of making sure everything is done on time will probably really get to me. Having tests every week, several times a week is definitely going to piss me off pretty soon. This is the first time I've ever taken summer classes so hopefully I'll get used to it and stop complaining about it all.

I can tell you right now I already hate my ethics class. Long story short, I love giving my opinion about things, but hate debating shit with people I don't know or care about. Let's just say I don't care about their opinion so I don't want to waste my time giving them my opinion.

Other than that life is pretty boring around here. Nothing new or exciting going on.

Bye homies!!

I brushed Isabella's hair into a cute nerdy do' after her bath last night and as you can see we took a picture, but it's kind of hard to see her hair. Posted by Hello

A little bit better shot of bell-bell's nerdy hairdo. Posted by Hello

Here's a picture I took of Isabella while I was holding her. It's cute of course, but its so damn bright on her face. Oh well, at least you can finally tell she has blue eyes in a picture of her. Posted by Hello

Doug likes this one for some strange Doug reason. Posted by Hello

This is the best one I took and she's reaching for the camera. Reminder: Never take pictures of someone you are holding in your left arm. Posted by Hello

Can your boyfriend have a female friend???

Ok, so I don't remember where I heard this question, but my answer would be YES DUMBASS. Of course I automatically think of Doug when I hear this question. And what reason would I have to assume he couldn't have a female friend that was just a friend??? There is no reason. My main example is Doug and April. They were roommates for about 2 years and I never questioned that not even for a second. I know Doug and April are friends, they care about eachother, and even share some strong artistic intrests with eachother, but I never was or am worried about them. We all joke about the time they made out. Yes, it is a joke. And well if they know something more about that joke than I do, say...they actually made out....well then more power to them. I honestly don't care.

I seriously would have no problem with Doug and April sleeping in the same place for days on end without anyone around. That's just an example for you all. As for any other chick that Doug was around that just wanted to hang out with him all by himself...yes I would wonder why she wanted to hang out with just him, but at the same time I wouldn't stop him from doing it. Maybe you think I'm nieve, but trust me I'm so damn well not. The thing is that I trust Doug. I know that if he hung out with some girl that I wasn't really friends with but he was that nothing would happen. And honestly if something did happen he would tell me. Although, that would never happen because Doug is a real man and would never do something like that. Does that make sense?

I just wonder about some chicks that get jealous of their man hanging out with other girls. What's the big deal?? What's the big deal if they go to a strip club??? What's the big deal if they go to a bar without you?? For fuck sake the first summer Doug and I were dating he hung out with his ex-wife quite a bit and I never thought anything of it. Long story short, she wanted him and he didn't want her. And if he had decided he wanted her then oh well. Yeah, I would've been hurt, but I would've rather known about it sooner than later.

My question is why are so many damn women in this world jealous and not self-confident????? I mean I definitely didn't come from a perfect household, but I turned out pretty good. I don't doubt myself for the most part and the fact the Doug looks at other chicks doesn't bother me. I have no problem with him looking at a hot chick as long as he isn't sitting there talking about how hot she is. But that's also something we've discussed.

Do you really think that once a man is with you his eyes become blind to every other female body in the world??? No they don't. And trust me even if you are Angelina Jolie there is someone hotter out there than you....although Angelina is defintiely hard to beat. I just think women in general need to relax. Just realize that yes your man may look at other chicks, but don't you look at other guys? And yes he may think a chick is hot, but obviously he's with you and comes home to you so there must be something about you that he likes.

I'm not really sure what I'm rambling on about, but I'm just sick of "little" girls out there who are so damn over protective of their man that they freak out if they watch a tv show with a hot chick. Relax and realize that you are not the only woman in the world. And if you are jealous of the chicks your man is looking at then do something about it fat ass.

Sooo damn much to talk about...not really...

I'm pretty sure I'm getting bored with the whole blogging thing. I don't know if it's because I have nothing to say or the fact that nobody else seems to have anything to say. I figured I'd post something about something because Amber was bitching (as usual) about how nobody posts lately (obviously i'm being sarcastic Amber) :).

Let's see...let's see...I took a shower the other day...hahahaha...ok 2 days ago...YOU TRY BEING A GOD DAMN STAY AT HOME MOM!!! Woha, wait a second, that's definitely not what I meant to talk about here.

Well let's just start with the weekend since nothing has really gone on since before or after that. Saturday Isabella and I went to my mom's for the night. Doug was able to do a Pracs study for the weekend and I knew I'd be bored as hell and wanted to go to my mom's one of those days anyways so I figured I'd just make a night out of it. We went to Fargo on Saturday for a few hours and Isabella was so well behaved I couldn't believe it. I don't know why it surprised me so much because it's not like she's a bad baby or anything, but I guess it's just because she's never been shopping or carted around town for as long as she was on Saturday. We first went to the Olive Garden to eat. My sister wanted to go there so I had no problem with it, but I'm personally more of a Mexican restaurant person. Nothing against the Italians, but I love the stuff that makes you feel full after 3 bites and gives you lots of gas. Ok, so I don't get gas, but I've heard that there's people out there who do.

We proceeded to go to Kohl's. Which if you don't have a Kohl's in your town you need to petition to get one. I love that store, but we don't have one up here in Forks, so it's like a once a year trip for me, if that. I bought a couple pictures for the bathroom, or should I say grandma Lesa did (thanks mom!).

We then went to Target where Grandma Lesa bought Isabella her very first pool for this summer as well as a hat that she can wear in the pool and a couple of bathing suites. One probably won't fit her until next year, and the other is too big for this year, so I'll have to exchange that one for a smaller size.

The entire weekend Isabella was really good and super happy. Mostly she just tried to kill herself by climbing up on things that were dangerous for babies in my mom's house and also tried to get Cupid our dog. I'm sooooo surprised how Cupid acts towards Isabella. For all of you that know Cupid you would definitely be surprised too. He definitely does not live up to his name. Basically he is a grouchy old dog, with huge mood swings that doesn't like fast moving or loud people. He likes our family because he's used to us. He also likes Doug, his dad, and brother because they are all pretty much slow and quiet. Doug's dad even told us to bring Cupid over whenver we wanted because his dad liked Cupid so much. And for the record I LOVE Cupid!! So for Isabella to crawl up to Cupid and grab him without him eating her is soooo amazing. I don't know if its because she's been around him since the first week she was born or if he just senses that my mom would shoot him if he even looked at Isabella in a mean way. But basically he treats her better than anyone I know. He usually lets her get close enough to touch him and then when she does he simply walks away from her. He's never growled at her or anything. He's even tried to play with her a couple times, but since she doesn't know how to play with him it doesn't really work out.

Sunday Isabella and I came home and didn't really do much. Oh yeah! While we were at my mom's Isabella pooped in the tub while I was giving her a bath. It's amazing how cute and absolutely disgusting that was at the same time. Anyways....

Today Doug, Isabella, and I just went window shopping and stuff. We bought a new mop! Woo hoo!! Otherwise nothing too exciting has been happening here.

If you actually read everything I just wrote. Good for you. Although I'm not going to give you a medal like Amber did. I'm definitely not that nice.

Night everyone!!!

Where you going bell-bell?? I'm not sure if you can tell but she's crab walking in this picture. Whenever she didn't have pants on at my mom's house she didn't seem to like to touch her knees on the tile so she would crab walk through the kitchen and hallway. Posted by Hello

Grandma Lesa putting Isabella on the horsey. I know my sister used to use it, but I can't remember if it was mine first. I like this picture because you can see Cupid looking at me. He definitely gets a little jealous of Isabella when she's around, but surprisingly he's very tolerant of her and her attacks on him. Posted by Hello
